Royal Palms : Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Annie Patrick

THE DAYS WHEN CONDOS were too small for comfort are long over. Condominiums now are both spacious and luxurious, and Royal Palms in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, upholds that higher standard of living. It’s evident the moment you turn off the highway onto a beautifully landscaped road with sidewalks and elegant iron fencing.

Classic exteriors are just the beginning, with details such as 30-year architectural shingles and cement plank siding and trim. The grounds are professionally landscaped, inviting you outside. Special features not often found elsewhere include drive-under two-car garages, first-floor entry for every home, patios on the first level and screened enclosures on the second level.

The extra touches continue inside these town home-style condos. Elegant living areas are plush, with wall-to-wall, stain-resistant carpet, 5-inch crown molding in the foyer, living and dining rooms, and 9-foot smooth ceilings on all but the garage level. Gourmet kitchens include the latest trends, such as granite counter tops, pantries and stainless steel GE Profile appliances.

Today’s homeowners demand roomy, relaxing bathrooms, and they’re a standard feature at Royal Palms. Tubs are surrounded with ceramic tile and the master bath has a soaker garden tub; framed glass shower doors and brushed nickel faucets are standard.

A lot of living takes place outdoors, and you’ll find that Royal Palms is designed to help you enjoy comyour surroundings to the fullest. A tennis court is available for day and night games, and other extras include a pool, open pavilion and outdoor gas grills. For nature lovers, there is a pond, tree-lined walking trails and more than two acres of naturally preserved green space with plenty of sitting areas.

What sets Royal Palms apart from other neighborhoods? Karen Rigot of Keller Williams Realty sums it up: “This is a small community where you get to know your neighbors,” she says. “It’s a great location, close to everything in Mount Pleasant but with that ‘home retreat’ feeling. Royal Palms provides tranquility along with great amenities and floor plans.”

Three floor plans are available-The Imperial, The Regal and The Sovereign-ranging from 1,780 square feet to nearly 2,500 square feet.

“The price range is from the $310s to $380s,” says Rigot. “We’re offering excellent incentives to buyers for a limited time, so I urge people to call soon.”

Mount Pleasant offers proximity to the beaches, fine dining and shopping and excellent schools, and it’s just across the river from downtown Charleston, with its many cultural and historic offerings.
